Leon Secures Operational Licenses In Tanzania

Leon Ventures Into The African Market With Tanzanian Licenses

This expansion signifies the operator’s first official entry into the African market.

Leon has announced that it has obtained operational casino and sports betting licenses in Tanzania, marking its inaugural presence in Africa.

As part of its global expansion strategy, the digital entertainment company has successfully secured two separate licenses from the Tanzania Gaming Board. These licenses permit Leon to offer both casino and sports betting services in the Tanzanian market.

This announcement follows the company’s recent partnership with four MMA fighters aimed at boosting the brand’s visibility within the sports community. In April, Leon signed agreements with fighters Justin Tafa, Junior Tafa, Joshua Culibao, and Hakaraia Wilson, leading to various promotional activities.

Tanzania has been chosen as the ideal African market for Leon’s continental launch.

Jérôme J. Dufourg, Regional Director of Operations (Africa) at Leon, commented: “Our entry into Tanzania marks the start of a new phase for Leon in Africa. As we continue to set industry standards with our global expansion, we are committed to delivering cutting-edge digital entertainment solutions to new audiences. This strategic move, along with our strong operational base in Tanzania, positions us for success in the expanding African digital entertainment sector. I am excited to lead our operations on the continent.”
